Aria Vikram

Aria is a driven innovator dedicated to advancing healthcare through artificial intelligence.

As an AI researcher at Columbia University, Aria has been working on applying AI to healthcare for over 8 years now, including developing the first AR-guided smart stethoscope, awarded by USAID for its ability to deliver 97% diagnostic accuracy—surpassing typical clinical accuracy and empowering untrained volunteers during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in India. In the past, Aria created a deep learning-based tool for low-dose X-rays, reducing imaging costs by 50%. At Kitware, Aria developed an open-source CT perfusion imaging toolbox to streamline radiology workflows.

At Columbia's Natural Language Processing Lab, Aria collaborated with ETH Zurich and Cambridge University to build an AI document declassification engine, designed to handle over 5 million state documents.

Aria is developing a HIPAA-compliant AI chatbot platform for surgeons, currently in IRB-approved trials at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, aimed at enhancing patient satisfaction, boosting revenues and increasing operational efficiency.

Vikram Narayan

Vikram is an accomplished entrepreneur and AI engineer specializing in the intersection of healthcare and artificial intelligence.

As an entrepreneur, he created Team360, an enterprise feedback platform for conducting 360-degree assessments and employee engagement surveys. Team360 has enhanced workplace culture and performance for over 500,000 enterprise users. Vikram also developed BookBuzzr, a social media marketing tool supporting authors in reaching new audiences; at its peak, it was used by more than 15,000 authors worldwide.

In AI and Machine Learning, Vikram has made significant contributions. At NumFocus, he developed one of the first implementations in the Julia language of Gradient Enhanced Kriging with Partial Least Squares (GEKPLS), a predictive model used in engineering and scientific applications. He has also built various LLM-powered applications, including chatbots and document verification tools.

Currently, Vikram is focused on building AI applications that integrate FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) with AI, helping healthcare practices increase revenues and improve patient care by leveraging real-time data insights and streamlined workflows.

In addition to his development work, Vikram has created the "Leading High ROI LLM Projects" course and workshop, designed to help executives understand and leverage the impact of LLMs on their businesses. He has also led "Reimagining Your Practice," a workshop for healthcare professionals, equipping them with essential AI-driven skills to deliver high-quality care in today’s evolving medical landscape.

Vikram holds an MS from Carnegie Mellon University and has completed graduated level course work in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotics and Computer Animation from Columbia University.
